CONCERTS

"Harry's style in any setting is interactive, and even the most passive audience members come away feeling that they've participated in a special musical experience." Irene Blinn, Director Northern Lights Dance Theater, Antrim, N.H.

Over the years I've chosen a broad repertoire of new and old songs that both children and adults easily relate to and enjoy. A great collection of colorful styles that are fun to learn & sing in the car or at a show. My interactive performance style inspires folks to join in the singing. From bluegrass to swing with some good old rock & roll to keep things moving, I like to share the enthusiasm I feel for the songs. Rounds, call & response, activity songs and ballads are just a few of the styles in my bag of tricks. Concerts are geared for general audiences, and can be tailored for your group. I've worked with people of all ages, pre-school through seniors.

"Weaving traditional folk, African drum songs, and solo flute into his programs, Harry keeps his audience engrossed with a variety of sound textures." Irene Blinn

Drumming
I began studying Afro-Caribbean drumming with a variety of teachers who brought their traditional art to New Hampshire in the early '90s. A strictly ensemble form of expression, I have shared this knowledge by teaching classes to college students, campers and adult groups around New Hampshire. Over the past 5 years I've also had the good fortune to learn and perform with Master Drummers Maroghini and Aneive Holmes. Together with these Master Jamaican drummers we liven up any event. There is no way to just sit through one of these concerts, the sound is literally moving!

Drop me a line if you're interested in an Afro-Caribbean drum concert. Aneive and Maroghini are usually in the US during the summer. Early contact to book these exceptional performers is a must as their schedule is very demanding.

"The rhythms are powerfully moving, the forms demanding and the fun extremely rewarding!"
